GlyphStudio collects no personal data. The app works entirely offline. Your cartouches, settings, and saved glyphs never leave your device. No accounts, no servers, no tracking.
Overview
Isabella Ginor built GlyphStudio as a free educational reference tool. This Privacy Policy describes how the app handles information on your device. By using GlyphStudio you agree to these terms.
Data We Do Not Collect
GlyphStudio does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information
- Hieroglyph searches, cartouche content, or typed text
- Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
- Usage analytics, session data, or behavioral tracking
- Crash reports sent to external servers
Local Storage Only
All data you create — saved cartouches, favorite glyphs, app settings, and preferences — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage (Apple UserDefaults / on-device file system). This data is:
- Never uploaded to any server or cloud service
- Never shared with third parties
- Deleted automatically when you uninstall the app
- Backed up only via your personal iCloud backup if you have that enabled in iOS Settings (controlled entirely by you)
No Third-Party Services
GlyphStudio does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash-reporting SDKs, or social login systems. There are no SDKs from Facebook, Google, Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar services.
No Internet Connection Required
GlyphStudio is fully functional with no internet connection. The complete hieroglyph database, cartouche rendering engine, and all content are bundled within the app. No network requests are made during normal app use.
Children's Privacy
GlyphStudio is rated 4+ on the App Store and is appropriate for all ages. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, there are no special provisions required for children — there is simply nothing to collect.
Share & Export
When you use the Share button to export a cartouche image, you use the standard iOS Share Sheet. The image goes directly to the destination you choose (Camera Roll, Messages, email, etc.). GlyphStudio does not retain a copy of shared content beyond what is saved to your Library.
Links to Other Sites
GlyphStudio may contain links to the App Store or external educational resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reviewing their policies before providing any personal information.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
